The bible tells us that love and suffering are closely connected together. Happiness and joy is some moment is not only love. A real love will always involve great sacrifice and pain for others to be okay. God our creator leads by example by sending his only son to the world to die for mankind. Jesus came to the world to suffer and die for our sins. This shows how he loves us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son” (John 3:16).
