According to the bible, it teaches us never to place our hope and trust in our accestors but only on God who is the creator of heaven and earth. But it is okay for us to honour our accestors which are our past parents. Honouring them shows love and care which we have for them. Ancestors may be respected for their legacy, wisdom, and family history, but they are not to be treated as spiritual mediators or objects of worship.
God wants us to always come to him at all time instead of seeking for help from who is dead.
Isaiah 8:9 (KJV): “Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.”
This reminds believers that faith should be rooted in God, who is living and sovereign, rather than in ancestral practices that replace trust in Him.
