God is always pleased when he's happy with his creations. As human that we are, I believe we derive joy from our inventions especially when it does what we design it to do. For example, when we create a toy car, and it works well, we are pleased. We get that gladness that we could get a positive result from our efforts. If it doesn't work out, we feel disappointed
When God sent Jesus Christ to the earth to die for our sin, it wasn't an easy task. He didn't disobey his father. It was God that sent his son to die for our sins. Jesus went through a series of hurdles in his quest to save humanity from their iniquities. Satan tempted him after he fasted and prayed. Do you know what it takes to take up human flesh and come to this sinful earth to witness suffering, persecution, rejection, and crucification for the sin not committed? Who can leave his son to come to such a world filled with evil people just because he wants the world to be saved. The journey wasn't easy. Jesus prayed, and talked to the father in Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
If we read this scripture further from verse 30 to 39 of the same scripture, we would see how Jesus was sorrowful in verse 28. He knew he was about to die, but sure of ressurecting. However, he wished the cup could pass over him. It wasn't an easy task, but he paid the price
So if we want to know the truth, there's nothing on this earth, and in the whole universe that pleases God the most than his son Jesus Christ. While Peter was speaking to Jesus saying he would build three tabernacles; one for Moses, one for Elijah, and one for Jesus, while he was still speaking, a voice came from heaven saying, "this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased". Only Jesus Christ pleases God the most in the hierarchy of speciality. Hebrew 13:14-15
While he yet speak, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold a voice out of the cloud which said; this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased;hear ye him
God is still pleased with many things
Yes, God is pleased with a lot of things. If we believe and understand that God is the only one who exercises loving kindness, righteousness, and judgment on earth, he's delighted and pleased. To a person who know God and believe that he's the one who execute judgment upon the earth, to that person he's pleased
Also, to do good and to fear him makes him pleased. He's pleased with us when we share knowledge, and salvation with others. 2 Corinthians 9:7
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give not grudgingly or of necessity; For God love a cheerful giver
God is always pleased with many things. He's glad when we give to others without a biased mind. He's delighted when we love others as he has commanded us. When we obey our parents, he's pleased. Ephisians 6:1
Children obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the lord
As we can see that God is happy and pleased with anyone that obey his/her parents. It's our obligation to listen to our father and mother. For it pleases our creator. Also, praying for others gets God pleased with us. When we pray for others, somehow we are praying for ourselves, because God is already pleased, and whosoever God is pleased with finds mercy in his sight
There are so many things that pleases God, but there's nothing that pleases him the most than his son who came to the world to die for our sins. From eternity to eternity, Jesus will remain the beloved of God in whom he is well, pleased
This is my reflection on the words from Bro Eli, and I really love the way he nailed the answer to the question asked by a brother. May God bless us all
This is ckole the laughing gas.
