Hello my brothers and sisters. Thanks be to God almighty for giving us the opportunity to listen to his words from Brother Kuya Daniel, and Brother Eli Soraino of MCGI. It's a great pleasure. Let's go through what was learned on 1st of November 2023. Happy new month to you all
Ecclesiastes 9:10Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there's no work, nor device, nor knowledge nor wisdom, in the grave whither thou goest
Remember God while we are still young, follow his commandments and let him direct our steps
It was said that death is inevitable. No one can live forever on earth. A day of death would come whether we like it or not. No matter how long we live, it's 7 feet at last. So the Bible urged us to do whatever we need to do because there is no chance to do anything in the grave
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them
We should remember our creator while we are still young. We need to know the commandments we must follow while we still have the ability and strength to work for God, before the time that we won't have the opportunity would set in. It's clear according to the Bible that man cannot correct his steps. So how can God help us to correct our steps? Let's look at what the scriptures says in
Jeremiah 10:23O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps
Man cannot direct his steps. He has no power to do that. So how can our step be directed? We must only trust in what God can do by obeying his commandments, because without him, we can do nothing. What did the Bible say about this
?
Job 15:5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing
We cannot bear fruit without him because he's the vine. He's the determiner. So we can do nothing without him, that's why we need to believe in what he can do, obey his commandments and allow him to direct our steps
1 Corinthians 1:9 says Jesus must be with us, and we must do his will for him to acknowledge us as his own. Also, if we can do the will of God, he would take us as his brother, sister, and mother according to Matthew 12:50. God doesn't do partiality. He would take anyone who does his will as his own
God want all to come to repentance
God doesn't want anyone to perish. He wants us all to come to repentance. He wants everyone to believe in him. John 3:16 says
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
If anyone can believe in Jesus Christ, he shall be saved. He will not perish but live forever. He has given us the opportunity to repent. If anyone want to believe in Christ, he must believe in his doctrines
Regret of not coming to God at the right time
Bro Eli took us through this path. We shouldn't wait till we are about to die before coming to God. Let it not be that we would start asking for forgiveness at the eleventh hour. If we listen to the doctrines, and we know them, we should not fall into such a category because God said he would laugh at the calamity of such a person
Proverbs 1:25-27And you have set to nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof. 26. I also will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when your fear cometh. 27. When your fear cometh as desolation and your destruction cometh as whirlwind. When distress and anguish cometh upon you. 28. Then shall they come upon me, but I will not answer. They shall seek me early, but they shall not find me
It would be wise to follow God's commandments as we are listening to the doctrines. Those statements in the scriptures above are powerful. I wouldn't want God to mock me, nor should anyone. If you know the doctrines and you do them not, God will hide his face when ye seek him in the time of calamity and distress. Let's not only read the history of the servants of God that followed the doctrines, let's become a part of it. God is always there to help us if there's nobody to help, therefore, we should never lose hope. May the word of God dwell in our heart
And lastly, we must all continue to do Good to others by helping them. If we help the poor, the Bible says, God sees it as though, we lend him the goodness, and he would repay us. So when we help the poor, we help ourselves in the process
Thanks for reading.
This is ckole the laughing gas.
One love
