The importance of prayers cannot be overemphasized. For us to have an edge over the devil and not end up a prey to his schemes we need to take prayers very serious. As much as prayer is powerful and needed, there's also more to it.
We should not only pray and end there. We should also act. We shouldn't believe and do nothing. When we truly believe it pushes us to act on our believe. That's why the Bible says that faith without works is dead. This does not downplay the place of prayer. What it means is that we should learn to balance things and know what we are meant to do at a particular time.
If we want to see that expectation become a reality then we have to act towards. It's not everything that God will have to do for us. For instance, we are believing God for a job and we pray to Him concerning it. We do not expect Him to show up at our door step and have over a job to us, we have to go out there and seek it. It is only by seeking that we find.
