An inward man is one in whose heart is dwells in the Spirit of God. This Spirit brings the strength to human.
Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
This strength is from heaven and has no earthly link.
When this strengthening comes, its the flowing of the spirit within us. Its purpose is for Christ to make our hearts His home
Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
Christ is a person who loves to occupy space and dwell in our hearth. Thus, He controls every part of our inward be it will, mind, emotions and etc.
With the strengthening of the inner man, Christ's making our hearts home comes the filled with the riches of Christ, unto all the fullness of God, which dwells in Christ.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
This enables Christ to impart the fullness of God into us and make us partakers of all God possession.
