A Friday death and a Sunday resurrection belief only about one and a half days for him to feel the sign of the Messiah. Brother Eli is trying to make an emphasis that Jesus like he died on Wednesday afternoon and was buried on Thursday which the Jewish approved to be valid.
This allows for the three full days and nights Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Which shows the resurrection before Sunday morning. Even the angel's word about Mary Magdalene confirmed it which says he has risen. This suggests the resurrection occurred earlier aligning with the timeline of God.
Moreover Brother Eli also made criticism about the idea of one holy week. Starting from Luke 19, which calls for daily devotion to Christ. Every day should be holy, not just the Semana Santa.
We have been taught to align our beliefs with Scripture, not just tradition in our lives.
