We have come to ask ourselves, Father, is our partner really meant for us? Does he love us?
But when dealing with this kind of relationship, we must understand that sometimes being emotional in a relationship can be misleading sometimes.
Love is a beautiful thing. Our decisions are really influenced by a lot of things which we do not think might make us attractive to our mates. To begin with this, the Bible also tells us that our relationship must draw us closer to God instead of taking us away from God.
But that is why we must be careful.
2 Corinthians 6:14 shows that we should not be unequally yoked with non-believers because we must remember that faith plays a very important role when it comes to how we select our partners. There is a common faith and commitment to individuals. We might face numerous challenges and relationships but what we have to learn is how we must be unified in our relationship with God.
A partner must be of good behaviour. They must reflect the word of God and their lives must reflect to God. And in order to find this right partner, we must not forget prayer and wisdom. We must allow, we must pray for God to show us the right partner.
Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us that we must put our faith in God and allow God to guide our ways. Sometimes we might be expect something meaningful but I expect something and might not get it but through prayer we might ask God to direct us to what it truly means. A partner is a favour from God.
We must learn how to connect ourselves to God to enable us to get the right partner for better for us.
