Reading the Holy Bible before exposing ourselves to ungodly or misleading writings helps strengthen our faith and protects us from confusion. When we are firmly rooted in God’s Word, we are able to clearly distinguish truth from deception, regardless of how appealing certain messages may sound.
God has given every person a precious gift called free will. This gift allows us to make choices and decide how we live our lives. Free will is not given by chance; it is intentionally granted by God so that obedience and righteousness come from sincere decisions, not force.
When our free will begins to go against God’s will, it becomes a sign that we are no longer walking in the right direction. Wrong influences, including false teachings, can slowly shape our thinking and pull our desires away from God’s purpose. If embraced continually, these influences can lead our choices to reflect the will of the enemy rather than the will of God.
We must always remember that God’s will is for our own good. Scripture makes this clear. Ephesians 6:2 teaches us to “Honor your father and mother,” reminding us that it is the first commandment with a promise. This instruction shows God’s desire for respect, order, and blessings within the family.
Obeying our parents is one way we align our will with God’s will, even when other teachings may encourage disobedience. Remaining faithful to God’s will, as taught by Bro. Eli, is important. When our will is in harmony with God’s purpose, it shapes our lives positively and leads us toward a better future.
