Good day every one, my answer to today's question dated 28th April, 2021 is, making reference to
Matthew 17:1-5
[1]And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
[2]And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
[3]And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
[4]Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
[5]While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
We can see that the only people recorded to be on the mountain were Peter, James and John which leaves us with a question - How was Matthew able to record the scenario without being present in other words without seeing. The scripture in 1 John 1:3 made us to understand that the things which they declared were seen and heard which means that if they saw, they were to declare and even when they hear they have to declare/record, it wasn't necessarily important that they have to both see and hear for them to record. Which implies that since Matthew was not at the mountain he did not see but he recorded those things which he heard and that by the Help of the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
1 John 1:3
[3]That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16
