As Christians, we should serve as a source light to other people around us.

Ways of giving light
Our manner/way of life can express good things to other people and it can also give light to people who are in darkness.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

We can also give others light through our cordial relationship with them.
Why should we serve as a source of light
Serving as a source of light will let others know that we are serving the true God.
When we let our light shine before others, they will glolify our father in heaven.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Making our light shine on others, will help us to win them to God.

Bad company corrupts good character. Therefore we should avoid any church that does not expel church members when they indulge themselves in evil acts
