A good number of people unfortunately are spiritually gullible. It is common for people to easily agree with a belief that promises to enhance personal well-being, provide emotional comfort, or give life meaning.
Some born-again believers believe that it is possible to communicate with the dead. Others believe in reincarnation. Another set of people believe in mysterious powers. In a way, a great population believe all religions lead to God regardless.
The widespread of this belief has gotten into the minds of the members of the body of Christ. We now live in a world where people trust their own experiences more than the unchanging Word of God. This is a defining issue of our time. Rather than people asking, if this is the true Word of God they are more concerned of how it makes them feel.
For us to be transformed we need to hold unto the unadulterated Word of God. We ought to be selective of the kind of doctrines we give heed to. God has a reward for them. He commanded that none should add to His Word or subtract from it.
