So while I was about to have my breakfast of rice, immediately I was about to scop my first spoon I, like Controlled by a remote paused all of a sudden then I turned my eyes to the Bible, I had opened to read but hadn't, then I asked myself a question, I'm I feeding my spirit man as much has I feed the physical man!....
You see this has been one of the early revelations I had about spiritual growth, that the spiritman is also hungry just as the physical man does, whenever we are hungry the next thing that comes to mind is to look for food to eat, if we've stayed for too long we become starved and at that point we don't care, we just want to eat at all means before any other thing matters,
I recall somedays ago when I tried doing a three days dry fasting no food, no water, no fruits, on the second day I was literally running out of breath, I just got up and end the fast, I tried pushing it to the next hour but the more I stayed it was like time was paused or walking very very slow, years later I understood why I couldn't complete the fast...
That was because the physical man was in a contention with the spirit man, while I was trying hard enough to pray, worship and sing hymns, my physical man was dragging me, fighting, the hunger was felt like something I hadn't known ever, the weakness in me, was something else, I was so tired I wish I could just fast-forward time, all these and more was the weapon used by the physical man to disrupt my intimate moment with God...
Right from when I was a kid, I had this #Gideon new testament bible I don't joke with, as far as I can remember, I just loved it like my favorite toy, the things of God had always interest me over everything else and I wish above all things that I would so know God personally, like I needed to have that my own personal relationship and experience with him and that can be done through engaging more with the spirit man, I remember God saying that he's looking for those that will worship him in **SPIRIT & IN TRUTH **...
Few days ago my pastor during our midweek service preached about fulfilling Purpose, he went into details about bible characters that weren't quality at all, in fact in most cases they were ordinary men, but God choose them for an excellent task that requires men of certain degree and right stand-in with God, and the transformation that happened after they accept was unprecedented the more they yielded to God the more they become perfect in all things, you can imagine MOSES a fugitive going back to confront pharoah of all kings back then, or Jesus's disciplines, Peter a fisher man?....c'omon till today we can't stop talking about these guys....
The Reality in all of these is whatever you feed continually grows... Remember how little your new born baby was few years ago?, look at her now, almost teller than you, what happened, it's not magic it's because you've been feeding her with nitricious diet that has aided her growth, so is our spirit man,... There are men of God that so miracles and it looks like they're joking, just like that some lame man walked, the blind sees, true words of prophecy come true, it's not just easy has it seems, they're able to do this because they have so fed the spirit man that he's so big and communicate with God has a friend would to his friend,
The more you engage God's word the more of God you know, and as you continue there in steadfast day and night, God begins to take note of your spirit man and then begins to communicate with him, remember he said he's looking for a man to stand in the Gap,
