This is the final part of Brother Eli Soriano’s three-part teaching on the beauty of holiness; he begins it by reviewing that unrighteousness is ugly while righteousness is beautiful. It is through our way of life that we can prove to the world what God’s will is, what is good and acceptable.
To illustrate this, Brother Eli refers us to Romans 6:13. He stresses that we should not let Satan or his preachers use our bodies for evil deeds. Several examples he provides include where one does not use oneself for selling drug, serving as a medium for spiritualism or enhancing other peoples’ lives through sale of outlawed books.
Then Brother Eli cites 2 Corinthians 11:7 where Paul said he preached the gospel freely. Our bodies should not be instruments of sin in any manner whatsoever. This may involve anything illegal, immoral or assisting in ungodly acts such as distributing casino items.
Rather, we must offer ourselves completely to God since we have been brought from death to life through him (Romans 6:13). We are required to give our body parts as tools of righteousness for him. According to Brother Eli who defines this as being an instrument of God’s righteousness while helping others out with kindnesses like these ones; they include giving relief to destitute persons, feeding hungry people, forgiving others when they make mistakes and proper family care.
By carrying out good deeds, we worship God in the beauty of holiness which is required. Brother Eli underscores that unholiness is ugly while goodness and righteousness are beautiful. Following God’s laws brings us to this place of beauty.
Brother Eli puts special emphasis on discovering beauty through obedience to God’s commandments. This helps sum up his teachings on this subject. It might be better, indeed, to follow Brother Eli’s admonition in using our body for right conduct only. Doing so provides evidence of what pleases God and distinguishes us from the ungodly world.
