I want to contribute to the question: Why did John use "Spirit" instead of prophet in john 1:3 (part 2of 2)
According to John 14: 28
Ye have hard how I said unto you I go away and come again unto you if ye loved me ye would rejoices because l said l go unto the farther for my Father is greater than l.so Jesus came from God and went to God.
Anybody who says or teach that Jesus Christ is man is an Antichrist because he's not from the world but from the farther in heaven
According to Hebrew 10:5
Wherefore when he cometh unto the world he saith sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not but a body hast thou prepared me.
The reason why john use spirit instead of prophet is because is the spirit that will reveals if a particular prophet from God or not.
john 6:38 l came down from heaven not to do mine own will but the will of him that sent me .so Jesus came particular from heaven .
Jesus is not from the world he comes from another place but when he cometh into the world God prepared a body for him in the world which was conceived by Mary a human body created by the holy spirit of God.
