There is danger in watching movies, especially the ones that does not promote the teachings of Christ. Movies are influential in the mentality of people that are addicted to it.
Watching Movies itself is not a sin, but it becomes sinful depending on the content and influence it has on the person watching it. Many movies today promotes immortality, violence, witchcraft, idolatry, lust and disrespect to God, that's why we must be guided by God's word, not personal or worldly desires and be careful on the kind of movies we watch.
The book of Proverbs 4:23 teaches us to guard our hearts with diligence. As christians, the kind of movies we watch influences us negatively or positively depending on the content. When we spend time watching movies while neglecting prayer, bible study, and church fellowship it becomes sinful because it replaces our spiritual growth.
As christians, let's always be careful on the type of movies we watch. Let's always watch movies that aligns with Godly values and promote our spiritual growth.
