As matured human, we are know our left from our right. We know what is good from what is bad even though we do not have the ability to stop bad things from happening but as a believer, we must always do the good things and run away from those things which are evil.
To stop doing bad and evil to things, there is one thing we must do, we need to drive away the spirit of sin in us. With evil spirit inside of you, the good that you want to do you will not be able to do it, it is only evil things that you will be doing.
First of all, to stop doing evil things, you need to ask God for forgiveness and be baptized do that your since will be washed away and you will become a new creature.
You have to be washed, you have to be renewed and this is fine through baptism. This experience will get you close to God by making you a new man both in your flesh and soul. Doing bad things will be far away from you because you are now a new creature in God. You have to be washed cleaned of your sins and regenerated by God, this is how to stop doing bad things.
