We are talking about the teaching, which reminds us about idolatry, which is not only about God's image, but about the state of the heart. From scripture Psalm 1:5, Acts 17:29-2.
Corinthians 4, this shows that we trust in idols. There will be spiritual idols, unable to truly see or hear or respond to the truth of God. What starts out most importantly is the distinction between hearing and just listening to the word. Many are known to hear this word of God, but with their ears. Yet, their hearts keep too many closed.
Scripture explains why, when people reject God, their minds are blinded. The light of the gospel cannot just shine. It is not mere ignorance. It is more of a spiritual blindness. Brother Eli made a very powerful difference is that divinity is not just found in gold, silver, stone, or the work of humans.
God is not an object. It is not a talent that you must be shaped by mind's emanations. Any religious party that is toward God, towards that material thing is strictly for spiritual sensitivity. This message challenges our generation deeply. It calls us to self-examine ourselves every day worshiping the living God. We are trusting in modern idols that we cannot see or hear.
