Praise God.
Heb. 10:24-25
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works;
'Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching".
The purpose of gathering in the church is not for offering/contribution but to see, hear, exhort and edify one another.
If we observe one another, we will know our needs and help each other. This is the purpose of gathering and an attribute of a true church
Matt. 26:41 'Watch and pray'
To watch means to observe.
Being a christian has maintenance.
Our maintenance is having consideration for one another,exhorting, showing care and brotherly love towards everyone.
James 2:1-4
We should not show partiality to either the poor or rich, give everyone fair treatment.
There is a joy that should be felt when brethren gathers, but if there is not, then Jesus is not present in their midst.
Whenever we gather, we should discuss on the things God , the word of God, study them.
I cor. 14:26
"How is it then, brethren?when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying".
Singing/praising God is one of the good things man can do.
We should know that God/Jesus also sings. When Jesus was born angels sang, when he resurrected they still sang.
Col. 3:16
In the gathering of brethren, one of the doctrines to be observed is singing hymns/songs unto the lord.
Psa. 32:7
There are also songs of deliverance.
The power of God is also manifested through singing.
Singing started even before the earth was created.
Acts 2:46-47
"And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart
'Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."
We should gather with singleness of heart, having one mind and also sing praises to God.
