People call him prophet but he was the son of God who was sent from the father, to bring redemption to the world. Through him 'along' we are saved not only as a prophet but he was the world of God and his God him self. John 1:1

Who manifested in the flesh But people saw him as a prophet. When Jesus was talking with woman of samaria, she called him a prophet. John 4:19-24
NIV:“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
Jesus was actually activating the eyes of her faith to see him as the word not only as a prophet and also to believe that the word has come to her as her salvation is near ( just for believers). it only takes your believe in him through with the agreement of the spirit To be joined with word to produce result. As soon as the samaria woman had he said in verse 26-29
NIV:Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.” Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?” Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
A messiah is not a prophet but a saviour which is our lord Jesus Christ who came in form of a man not only as a prophet but our messiah. and he gave power to them that believe in him as sons and daughters of God. He was the same spirit that was pour on John to proclaim his coming 1John1:7
NIV:But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1John 4:2, This is how we can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, for Christ has come and he will come again to judge the world with truth and justice. 2John 1:7
NIV:I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
