It's part of our obligation as Christians to look into the welfare of our brethren
The thing that often makes us feel very bad is when we render an act of Good service to others amd we expect same from them and in most cases we're disappointed when they do not reciprocate.
however The word of God instructed us to do good unto all men, it's more like a commandment to us to care for one another, the Bible also tells us when we do this we are indirectly doing it to God, when we cloth a brother, buy them food when they are hungry, fix a place for them to sleep every act of Goodwill we render to them Jesus told us whenever we do this we do same unto him, for how come you say you love God that you cannot see and hate your brother that you can see...
why do people have many houses scattered every where many cars, spend excessively and still claim to love God meanwhile they are lots of people living in poverty and these rich guys are not doing anything to help these poor masses get a stable life instead they look for more opportunities to enrich themselves even at the cost of these poor masses..
this applies to everyone of us, don't only look out to the politicians and blame the government, you too in your little corner can be of great help to someone out there, extend a helping hand to someone in need today....
According to sire Eli this is one of the early rituals that bonded the early church, they all gathered and shared everything together as one, we're obligated by covenant to be of help to one another.
