one time ago, I got this revelation about prayer and recieveing answers, I thought to myself why does it look like believers are always lacking behind, take a look at Christianity and the average Christian life does it look emulating? does it reflect the glory of God?, but we all know God to be all encompassing, the richness of his glory is second to none, we all know the Bible is filled with God's numerous promises and assurance of his gracious and marvelous will for us. so why does the Christian life not reflect this reality.
I grew up seeing my parents and grandparents go to church, pray hard, fast, give, sow seeds but yet they live a minimal lifestyle only what they can eat and survive by the day, this does not in anyway reflect the glory of God, invariably this makes Christianity looks like a thing of mediocrity, making God look like a liar when he's absolutely not and cannot lie. it's not in his nature to lie or fail, so that means God is a God of principles, a God of Covenant, a God of Order, because he has set everything on it's course since after creation, every other thing is meant to happen when certain conditions are met, for instance a child will be formed in the womb of a woman when a man and woman meet, with these conditions aligned and are activated the results will produce a baby in the womb of the woman, its not magic it's logic. principles and order, that's how God designed it to be
same thing happens when we pray, the Bible said in Mathew 7:7 ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will open seek and you will find, it's very simple and straightforward no hidden principles or procedures on how to recieve, there's no magic attached.
so whenever we pray there are certain conditions that must be met for there to be answers, why I think many believers pray without getting results is due to lack of faith and decernment.
when we pray and ask God for a thing he communicate the answers to our spirit man, now it takes discernment to obtain the answers cause most times they come in ways we least expect
Imagine how God promised Abraham to be the father of many nations, then God send two Angels on errands but not to Abraham's house, Abraham out if compassion ran towards these men to offer them comfort not knowing that was the answer to God's promise to him. now imagine if Abraham had neglected those men and the opportunity that presented it self.
imagine Jesus savior of the world been born in a manger, a savior the whole world has been waiting for, yet they never knew when he arrived.
this how most believers are, praying but not paying attention to discernment and knowing what God is saying per time, it's not just enough to pray, fast, sow seeds, but most importantly be on alert to know what God is saying per time, you're asking for financial breakthrough, yet God is dropping countless business ideas in your head but you kept ignoring them hoping that somehow Doors will open 🤔❓.....
