So many things people face in life, some are as the result of their recklessness. You will agree with me that it is not God's will that we face those things, like people having some kind of illness being as a result of some dangerous substances they consume like drugs. And according to the servant Of God, He says that: "God has given to us the ability to decide things for ourselves".
God wished that we do not engage ourselves in drugs, because it is not His will toward our lives. He knows that those things are detrimental to our health. But He can't just stop you because He has given to you the ability to make decisions for yourself.
That is way, If you want to stop drugs or being addicted to any form thing that may dragged you down, you need to first of all have the desire to stop those things. Addiction generally is bad! Some people are addicted to drugs, and some to pornography. And you can tell with me that these things are not the will of God.
They have effect one way or the other on you. So, they question is, How can you stop being addicted to drugs or any other form of addiction? According to the servant of God, he says that; "you need to help yourself", How? by having a very strong desire to stop drugs. You need to build self determination and discipline. Of course, if you are not disciplined, you can not control your urges. You need discipline to control yourself, and then God will give you the grace to do so.
