Mark 6:3: Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
From Brother Elis teaching today, I understood that as Jesus was growing up, before He started His ministry here on earth, He was regarded as every other ordinary person in the society. He was been judged based on His family background, and was regarded to as a carpenter.
Carpentry was Jesus Christ vocation when growing up. If was the skill He learnt from His foster father Joseph.
So before His ministerial life, He (Jesus Christ), was a carpenter, and was taken by the community He lived in as a normal person who's vocation was carpentry.
