Here are what I understood from Brother Elis teachings.
I understood that being truly for Christ, we have to undergo a change process.
2 corin 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And it is important to note that this change can not be complete and effective if it is not done through the help of the Holy Spirit, and at the end been sealed through baptism.
Rom 6:4:Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
I also understood from Brother Elis teachig that they are two kinda of sin.
- Sin not unto death: This is a sin that is done unintentionally, and the bible says we should pray for any one who is a victim of this kind of sin.
- Sin unto death: This is a sin that is committed willfully without a heart of guilt or a desire for change. And the bible has said such person should not be prayed for.
1 john 5:10: If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
Titus 3:10: A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject.
The Bible even says that the church should reject any one that commits sin continually, that is a sin unto death.
Rom 1:32: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Thank you and God bless you.
