Here are some of my opinion gotten from brother Eli’s answer in the part 5 series of the above question.
Brother Eli mentioned that you cannot be saved if you don’t do good works, you may have the opportunity to be saved by your faith alone if you have one hour/day to live. But if you live linger than a day after receiving our Lord Jesus Christ, you have to grow in Christ and growing in Christ is learning how to do good works, the bible says WORK out your salvation according to Philippians 2:12 “Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling”
We have to follow examples set by our Lord Jesus, all the works He did while He was here on earth are examples for us to follow. Not only to those whom we love and cherish but also to our enemies as Jesus Christ has instructed in Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;.
This good works will qualify you for your salvation. Matthew 25:32-40 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate(A) the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.(B) 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom(C) prepared for you since the creation of the world.(D) 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,(E) 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me,(F) I was sick and you looked after me,(G) I was in prison and you came to visit me.’(H)
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
