Holy Week is a time many Christians set aside to remember the final days of Jesus like His entry into Jerusalem, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. These events are clearly written in the Bible, especially in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. So, even though the term “Holy Week” isn’t used in the Bible, the stories it focuses on are definitely biblical.
That said, the way people observe Holy Week today like having processions, special church services, or themed days comes more from tradition than from direct instructions in the Bible. It’s not something the Bible tells us we must do, but it can be a helpful way to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice. What truly matters is that we remember and honor what Jesus did for us, whether or not we follow Holy Week in a formal way.
