There are questions that have been asked over and over again so many times and it looks like the answer is still far from been answered from people. There is always a popular question about the fact that is religion truly needed for salvation.
Now there is the aspect of religion, there is the aspect of salvation. When I was studying the bible, I actually discovered that salvation itself is not really about religion, it is you having a personal relationship with God.
Now don't misquote me, when religion can guide us it, it is not actually that which can save us. The only thing that can save us is salvation.
And I am not actually trying to make up this. It is even found in the bible In Ephesians 2:8-9, it says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works. This is very clear that even the salvation is a gift from God. Like what I mean is the fact that it is not really something we earn by just been a religious group.
Don't misinterprete me. Like I said, been religious helps because it will help to guide you. But even if you are active in religion and you don't have the true faith or living in obedience to God's instruction, it is not enough.
What religion will help you to do is to actually help you to grow in God. I mean growing closer to God and it is actually needed. James 1:27 says, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
The bible definition of religion is you living a life filled with love and not juts following tradition up and down. It is really about you showing kindness and actually staying away from sin.
