Growing up, I remember asking this question several times that why do we need to die. Why is it that God can't make it work that we should just live forever and I am so sure I am not the only one that have asked that same question repetitively several times.
Most especially when someone so dear to me died. Most of the time, it actually brings so much sadness and confusion to me. Is it really part of God's plan that we should die or is there something about it that we are not actually aware of?
When I checked through the bible, I discovered that death was not really part of God's original plan most especially for the humans in the beginning. In Romans 5:12, the Bible says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin…”
So what this means is the fact that the original plan of God was that we will live forever but when death came in, it actually destroys a whole lot of things.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin entered and when it entered, death also followed. This gives way for people to start dying because of disobedience.
Actually whenever I think about it. I used to feel bad because why is it that those people make the mistakes and sin entered the world. What was they thinking. Apart from that also.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:2, “A time to be born, and a time to die…” this also means that there is a time for everything. And as humans, there is time for us to come to the earth and there is time for us to leave the earth.
But one beautiful thing is the fact that God did not leave us so stranded. He actually sends his only begotten son for us to come and die for us. That is the beauty of it. In John 11:25, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
