The topic “Is man’s fate controlled by God?” was discussed in the MCGI (Members Church of God International) review, and it gave a clear and balanced answer. It explained that although God is all-powerful and knows everything, He still gives people the freedom to make their own choices. The Bible shows that God lets us decide how we want to live, whether to follow His ways or go our own path. So, even though God can control everything, He allows us to shape our own future based on our decisions and actions.
The review also pointed out that there are times when God steps in directly, especially when He has a special purpose for someone’s life like the prophets in the Bible. But even then, He doesn’t force anyone to follow Him. He guides those who are willing and open to His direction. In the end, our fate is not completely fixed. It’s shaped by how we respond to God’s Word, the choices we make, and how willing we are to follow His plan. As it is written in
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (KJV):
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them."
