Being a peacekeeper, based on what The Old Path (Part 2 of 4) teaches, goes beyond just avoiding fights or arguments. It’s about taking steps to bring peace wherever there’s conflict. A true peacekeeper acts like Jesus calm, kind, and patient. According to the Bible, in
Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
This means that anyone who works to keep peace is seen by God as one of His own.
The teaching also points out that being a peacekeeper doesn’t mean staying silent when something wrong is happening. It means speaking the truth, but doing it in a loving and respectful way. Just like Jesus, who corrected people but always did it without hatred or anger. Peacekeepers are not people-pleasers they stand for what’s right but in a gentle and wise manner that doesn’t stir up more trouble.
Bro Eli encourages everyone to practice peacekeeping in their daily lives at home, at work, in church, and in the community.
Romans 12:18 says, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”
That means we should do everything we can to stay at peace with others. It takes effort, patience, and forgiveness, but it reflects the kind of life God wants us to live.
