The question of whether God wants everything including evil to happen is one that many people wrestle with, especially when facing pain or injustice. From what we understand about God, He doesn’t desire evil or enjoy seeing people suffer. But He does allow it to exist because He gave humans free will the ability to choose. Without that freedom, love and obedience wouldn’t be real. Sadly, that same freedom means people can choose to do wrong, which leads to the evil and suffering we see in the world.
Even though God allows evil, it doesn’t mean He supports or causes it. What’s remarkable is that He can still bring good out of bad situations. The Bible is full of stories where something terrible happened, but God used it for a greater purpose like Joseph being sold by his brothers and eventually saving a nation, or Jesus being crucified and offering salvation to the world. It shows that God is still in control, even when things seem completely broken.
At the heart of it, God’s real desire is for people to turn to Him, even in the middle of the world’s mess. Evil isn’t part of His perfect plan for us, and one day, it will come to an end. God promises a future without pain, evil, or injustice. Until then, we’re called to stand against evil, do good, and trust that He’s still working even when we don’t fully understand how.
