Greetings, everyone!
Welcome to my blog. It’s another wonderful day to reflect on God’s Word through the teachings of Bro. Eli Soriano.
One reality for humanity, particularly for believers, is that while we sincerely desire to follow God’s will, living it out consistently often remains a challenge.
The Apostle Paul experienced this struggle firsthand. In Romans 7:20, he explains that when he does what he does not want to do, it is not truly him acting, but sin dwelling within him. This shows that even someone as devoted as Paul often fell short of his intentions to do what is right.
This teaches an essential lesson: we cannot consistently do the right thing through our own strength alone. Without the guidance and power of God’s Spirit, human effort is never enough.
What we truly need is forgiveness and transformation. When sin is removed, we gain the ability to live according to God’s will. Acts 22:16 illustrates this when Paul was told to arise, be baptized, and wash away his sins while calling on the Lord’s name. This moment marked the beginning of Paul’s new life in alignment with God’s purpose.
Cleansing from sin is therefore a crucial step before we can fully follow God’s will. Just as it was necessary for Paul, it remains essential for believers today.
Furthermore, living in accordance with God’s will is not achieved through personal effort or good deeds. Titus 3:5 reminds us that salvation is not earned by our acts but comes through God’s mercy, the washing of regeneration, and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit.
Paul emphasizes that obedience to God and forgiveness of sins do not come through human strength or accomplishments. They are gifts from God, empowered by the Holy Spirit. It is only through His power, not our own, that we can truly live in harmony with God’s will.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
