Greetings everyone,
You’re warmly welcome to my blog. It’s a beautiful day to reflect on the word of God as shared by His servant, Bro. Eli Soriano.
One important truth about humanity—especially among believers—is that we sincerely desire to do God’s will, yet we often find it difficult to live it out consistently.
This inner struggle is not something new. The Apostle Paul also experienced it. In Romans 7:20, he explains that when he does what he does not want to do, it is no longer truly him, but sin dwelling within him. This reveals that even though Paul longed to do what was right, he sometimes fell short.
From this, we learn a vital lesson: we cannot rely on our own strength to consistently do what is right. Human effort alone is not enough without the help of God’s Spirit.
What we truly need is forgiveness and a changed life. When we are cleansed from sin, we gain the ability to walk in alignment with God’s will. This is reflected in Acts 22:16, where Paul was told to rise, be baptized, and wash away his sins while calling on the Lord’s name. That moment marked a turning point in his journey toward fulfilling God’s purpose.
This passage shows that being cleansed from sin is essential before we can fully follow God’s will. It was necessary for Paul, and it remains necessary for believers today.
Additionally, living according to God’s will does not come from our own good works or personal effort. As stated in Titus 3:5, salvation is not based on righteous deeds we have done, but on God’s mercy through spiritual renewal and transformation by the Holy Spirit.
In summary, Paul teaches that forgiveness and obedience are not achieved by human strength or good works, but through God’s mercy and the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. It is only through the Spirit—not our own ability—that we can truly live in accordance with God’s will.
