I will say that it's foolishness to fight God. We should not fight our Maker. We should not oppose His orders. What we should do should be to obey Him completely. The Bible says that woe to the person who fight with his Maker. God's orders are what we should obey not to question. How reasonable is it that the creature will question what his Creator has laid down for it to follow? God has given us the instructions that we should follow as His children, we are to obey His commandments.
When people try to misinterpret the Bible, they are trying to question what God is doing. What God has given us is what we should accept and follow. When we use our own reasoning to interpret the Bible in the way that it suits us we are opposing God’s standard. We cannot know more than God. What he has told us to do is correct and perfect. We should not think that we can get it better than what God has given to us in his Word.
