Important points I learnt from God's word discussed.
The primary doctrine of the bible is love, first to God and secondly to all men.
Love is not spoken, it is demonstrated through works.
God sends rain to the just and unjust. We should relate and love our enemies so that we can win them to Christ.
Hosea 10:12 talks about the kind God making the sun rise to the just and those who do evil.
God wants us to love our enemies and mean all things to all men. We should always love and extend love to our enemies.
1 Timothy 2:4 talks about the will of God for all men to be saved. Don't be hostile to your neighbor. Let us learn to be considerate.
Mattew 22:39 talks about us loving God first. What is in the bible is sufficient to do good. We should love all. If the doctrine of Christ prevails no one christian will kill another.
Act 24:16 talks about the fact that we shouldn't be ill conscious against our fellow men. We should do good to all, especially those of the same household.
Romans 12:20 also talks about love for your fellow members as yourself. If you want to be loved, love others. The commandments of the church should be done to others outside the church.
1 Corinthians 6:4 talks about the fact that we shouldn't file charges against others of the same faith. Forgiveness is an obligation to each other.
Psalm 55:14 talks about giving counsel to one another. The house of God is the church of God. Walking in company means unity. Strife is prohibited in the church of God. Feed those that don't have food. The doctrine of God is to love our fellow men .
We should be grateful to God and not brah about anything.
The church is not a plague to society. Our primary intention should be to lead all to God.
Love is kind, patient, not envious and boastful. Do not look for yourself because you won't find it .
Love never fails and falls short.
Hebrews 13:1 talks about the fact that love should rain. We should relate well. Love should rain and abide in the brotherhood.
Honour all men.
The following were my old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening.
- I believed before that love shouldn't be demonstrated to those who are not of the same faith.
- I believe before that we can file charges against our file men if he does wrong to us.
How teaching affects me as a better person.
1.I now know that love is demonstrated by works.
2.I now know that the primary doctrine of the bible is love.
3.I now know that it's good to do good to all men, even those not of the faith.
4.I now know that we should mean all things to all men.
5.I now know that we should relate and love our enemies so that we can win them to Christ.
6.I now know that love is not easily provoked.
7.I now know that forgiveness is an obligation to each other .
