Important points I learnt from God's word discussed.
We should care for one another. Watch means to be watchful.
Matthew 26:41 talks about the fact that we should watch and pray in order not to fall into temptation. We should gather with the brethren. We should have a guide in our everyday life.
Hebrews 10:25 talks about brethren being observant. Our maintenance is to be exhorted upon.
James 2:2 talks about the fact that we shouldn't discriminate among brethren.
Poor brethren shouldn't be restricted from entering the church. We are instructed to gather together to see one another.
2 John 1:12 talks about the perfect joy that can be felt when you're together with the brethren.
A big part of the gathering is spent on studying the word of God and God's doctrine. We should devote more time to studying the word. We sing when we're together. A song is one of the joyful things in life. The word has measurements. In the bible morning stars that are singing are angels. Stars means angels. When man was not created music existed. The angel sang to God to glorify him. When the brethren are gathered there's a commandment. We sing songs for different things. We sing for our fathers, mothers, and the national anthem. We practically sing to everything.
Revelation 7:11 talks about the angels singing to God.
Angels are praising God in heaven.
Hebrews 2:11 says that God himself sings.
Singing is an important part of the gathering. In the coming judgement the angel will sing .
Colosians 3:6 instructs us to be singing to God when gathering. singing started even before the earth was created.
God is the one we should be praising.
Brethren should sing hymns, spiritual songs, psalms etc. When there's a tongue, there should be an interpretation. Speaking of tongues should be allowed.if you say your voice is not good, it's good to God.
The following were my old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening.
- I believed before that we shouldn't care for those who aren't of our household.
- I believe before that we must not always gather as we can worship online
How teaching affects me as a better person.
1.I now know that a gathering should have a doctrine, psalms, and an interpretation of tongues.
2.I now know that angels sing to glorify God.
3.I now know that we're instructed by God to gather to see one another.
4.I now know that a big part of the brethren gathering is spent on studying the word of God and God's doctrine.
5.I now know that a song is a joyous thing in life and it's older than man.
6.I now know that the earth has measurements.
7.I now know that we should care for one another.
