Prayer is a way which we talk to God, prayer should be done with a sincere heart and soul is not about repeating words for people to hear. God wants us to come to Him honestly, with humility and trust. True prayer is not about showing off before people, but about having a personal relationship with God. Matthew teaches that Jesus encouraged people to pray in secret because God sees the heart.
The proper way to pray is to thank God, ask for forgiveness, and present our needs to Him. Jesus gave an example of prayer through the Lord’s Prayer, showing that prayer should honor God, seek His will, and ask for daily provision and guidance. Prayer should also include praying for others and trusting God’s answers, even when they come differently from our expectations. Luke explains that God listens to those who pray with faith and persistence.
