People tend to ask questions like "If God exists why do peole die?, why so much suffering in the world?, were we originally created to die?, what really happens to us when we die?, and so many more questions. Brother Eli Soriano used the bible to answer some of these questions in some of his teachings.
The truth is that man was not originally created to die in the first place. Infact God plan for man was for him to live forever and allow God to be his father. But God plans was truncated when man decided to disobey the creator and be on his own (Gen 3:22-23).
Let us remember when the Lord said "My word can not come back to me void, but it must fulfill that which I have sent it. Isaiah 55:11." So when God told man that "the day you eat of this fruit, you shall surely die" it happened exactly that way.
Immediately Adam and Eve ate from the tree they were commanded not to eat from, they died spiritually because the very life and nature of God left them. Physical death came to Adam 930 years later and that death has passed down to every single one on earth.
Heb 9:27 has made it clear to us that we are all appointed once to die and after that comes the judgement. This goes on to tell us that there's someone who owns our lives and we do not live by ourselves.
This means death is not evil if you are in God and as christians we should not be afraid to die but we should rather be prepared to leave this earth and live eternally with God. This mean death isn't evil but it teaches us to be holy, to have self control and love as long as we live.
God original plan for man was for him to live forever that was why there were two trees in the middle of the garden. One was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the other was the tree of life. If man had eaten from the tree of life, man would have lived forever.
God still has that plan of having a people that would live with Him forever and so He sent Jesus to cone and pay for the sins of the world and to make man united with Him again in the spirit. All that is required of us is to believe and act on the word of God, so that when the appointed day of judgement comes we would not be cast aways.
Death is not what we should fear, we should be more concerned about what would happen to our spirits after we die. As Christians we have this confidence that ours lives are secureed in christ. No wonder Apostle Paul was so willing and ready to die because he believed to die is gain if you are blameless before God, Philippians 1:21.
