I want to appreciate God for the life he has given to me and for healing me from sicknesses.
Ephesians 2:20, We were taught that the apostles and disciples were built on the foundation which is Christ. The foundation of the church is the chief corner stone which is Christ. Christ is the rock and the chief corner stone not Peter. He is the foundation of the true church in the bible. The apostles were built upon the foundation which is Christ.
Faith of God
I learnt that God have faith. Romans 3:3, will the unbelieve of men make the faith of God without effect. This shows that God himself have faith. Faith in God is different from faith of God. Same as faith in Jesus and faith of Jesus. I also learnt that God can trust man. God entrusted the gospel to the apostles. Also, the word of reconciliation was entrusted to us. One of the proofs that God trust man is in Matthew 18:18, whatever you bound on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is loose in heaven. God has great trust in the preachers he sent. Also the apostles wrote the bible because they were commanded to write and this is part of the trust God has for them. God wouldn't have sent the preachers if he didn't trust them.
Meaning of faith
Hebrew 11:1, Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. As believers, there are certain things we are hoping for
- Coming back of Christ
- Resurrection
Christ resurrection proofs that there will be judgement also.
Things not seen have evidence. For example, oxygen can not be seen but it's evidence is visible. God can not be seen because he is a spirit but the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen. One of the evidence of things not seen is the combination of oxygen and hydrogen which produces a visible thing water.
In conclusion, it is very clear that God have faith and trust man, that's why he commanded the apostles to write the bible and also preach the gospel. The faith of God exist also the faith of Jesus.
