Jesus Himself showed the importance of knowing and using Scripture. When He was tempted, He responded with God’s Word, showing that a heart filled with Scripture is prepared for life’s challenges. This reminds us that frequent reading helps us stand firm when we face difficulties, temptations, and decisions.
The early believers also valued the Word of God and continued in learning and teaching it. They listened, studied, and shared it with others. This shows that Bible reading is not only personal but can also be part of fellowship, where believers encourage one another through God’s truth.
While the Bible does not command a specific number of times to read it, it clearly encourages consistent and ongoing engagement. Reading the Bible daily, or as often as possible, helps us grow closer to God, understand His will, and live in a way that honors Him.
