Children have to be in good terms with their parents because family is priceless. The bible let us know that children and parents are the thing that makes up a family and being together pleases God. If we have a broken relationship in the family, scripture shows that restoration is always possible. God values reconciliation, especially within the family, and He calls both parents and children to humility and forgiveness.
But parents should be careful not to provoke their children. As a parents the bible instructs them to raise their children with love and care. This shows that restoration is not one-sided. Sometimes parents must also reflect, forgive, and open their hearts again. God desires compassion and gentleness on both sides.
Children are expected to obey their parents so that they can easily regain their love back. The Bible shows that no family situation is beyond God’s ability to restore. With sincere effort and reliance on God’s guidance, broken relationships can be healed, and parental love can be renewed stronger than before.
