Prayer is all about talking to God with a pure heart but not the amount of time we spend talking to him with a burning heart. The bible teaches that we should pray with a pure heart in a quiet place, we should not pray in the public to impress people who are passing by. Prayer is something that is between you and your creator alone. When praying we should have the strong faith that God will listen to our cries. God love those who talk to him with faith.
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” (Gospel of Matthew 6:6)
Another proper way to talk to God is by Thanksgiving that comes from our sincere heart, giving help to those who needs it is another form of prayer which we neglect sometime. God loves those who give from their sincere hearts and not those who give and keep expecting to get back from the person they gave. Jesus Christ taught us how to pray, He said we should thank God first for this things he have done for us. The. Ask for his mercy and grace in our lives. Then we can lay our problem to him.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” (First Epistle of John 5:14)
