MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 9 MEMBERS CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL HELD OCTOBER 19, 2023.
A blessed day to all MCGI and Hivians. How is it wherever you are? Thanks be to God for going ahead of us. Thanks be to God for MCGI for their support of humanity by sharing the word of God and their blessings of all kinds to humanity. Father, I pray you enrich, strengthen, and provide more for your church in Jesus' name, Amen. My name is Olu Thomas, and below is my take from day 9 of Mass Indoctrinations.
Indeed, it was an amazing moment in the presence of God to listen to our dear Brother Eli teaching the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ. I learned why brethren come together in church and what the commandment of God is for the gathering of brethren. Why is God interested in the gathering of His members? The primary reason why God wants us to come together is to exhort one another and to care for one another, not for the man of God to enrich himself or to demand money from its members. The word of the Lord says we should observe and provoke one another to do good works; doing good to one another is the reason for our coming together. We also gather together to study and teach one another the doctrine of Jesus Christ and to correct one another where necessary. We must help one another. We are not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together because the more we stay out of the assemblies of brethren, we will easily go astray, but the more we gather in the assembly, listening to God’s words, we will learn and do the needful always. We also gather together to help those who don’t have it. Many assemblies don’t want to see poor people in their gatherings; they only welcome the ones who are rich and can give to the church, which is not supposed to be so. The church is for both the poor and the rich; the rich should not suffocate the poor, but rather they should be a helping hand to the poor masses in the assembly of God. If we notice a brother or sister that needs help, either with clothes, food, or shelter, we should be of help to them in the little way we can.
I also learned that everyone in the church has a sound to release for edification or to praise God. Whether you have revelation, grace for interpretation, tongue, etc., all is to glorify God. Singing is a good thing. We sing for diverse reasons; we sing for our God, Mother, Father, brothers, and sisters, and we also sing for our loved ones. The country also has a sound or song. There's a song for market people. God inhabits in the praise of His people; the more God praises, things happen, miracles take place, and demons flee during praises. So we should not neglect praises some will say I don’t know how to sing or I don’t have a good voice. That is not enough reason for anyone not to praise God. We will not all sing, but if those who have the voice are singing during meetings of God’s children, we need to all adore our maker, because at that time of worship, God is there to fix things for His people. If singing is not important, the angels also sing to the Almighty God.
Let us sing to the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. When singing, there's deliverance. Songs are powerful mechanisms that send away evil spirits, so singing praises to God is sufficient to cast away evil spirits and ease a sorrowful heart. With singing alone, the power of God is manifested. So singing to God is also part of the gathering of God's people.
