MCGI MASS INDOCTRINATION, DAY 5 HELD ON 13 OCTOBER 2023.
Greetings beloved Members Church of God International and all hivers, today is a great day for me to share what I understood from Day 5 Mass Indoctrination, I was supposed to post on 13 October 2023 but I was ill, thanks to God am getting better and thanks to MCGI and Bro Eli for their continues prayers and support. Below is my take from Day 5 Mass Indoctrination.
MY TAKE
Bro Eli taught us how the husband and his wife ought to live a godly life and be happy to serve God together as expected. I learned that both the husband and his wife should love one another, they don’t have power over their body, if the husband wants to be with his wife she should not deprive him of it and the same with the man, whenever the wife needs him, he should always avail himself and make love to her. The husband needs always to love their wife’ they should not be bitter with their wife, men are not supposed to use harsh words on their wives or use insulting words because doing so will turn the wife into something else and she will not be free in her husband house, the man should love his wife just as Jesus Christ loves the Church.
I also learned that if the husband and the wife are God-fearing, if they live by the will of God their unborn children will also be Godly, because the kid will grow up in the fear of God and practice what their parents are doing.
I also learned that the man is not supposed to cover his head but the woman has to cover her hair while she is in the presence of God because the man is submitting to God directly while the woman is submitting to the man, so God is the head of the man while the man is the head of the woman. The women covering their head shows that they recognized the authority of the over their lives.
I learned that the husband and the wife can agree to abstain from any sexual act only if they want to embark on prayers and fasting, it is advisable to abstain from sex but let it be an agreement between the husband and wife. Prayers are very essential for every family to take it seriously.
I also learned the scriptural way to fast, that if we are fasting we should drop all the heavy burdens, should let go of people who are oppressed by us, for instance, if you lend something or money to someone and that person can’t pay you back you should free him, live the money to him and embark on your fasting and also if we want to fast we should help those in need, we should provide clothing for those that need it. Also if we are fasting we should not let others know about it, our physical matter when we are fasting, and we should take care of our body during fasting it should not show in our facial expressions.
