God is the creator of the whole earth and everything in it and of course he have control over everything he created. As humans created by God, we have acknowledge the supremacy of God, worship him in spirit and truth and submit ourselves to him for him to be in total control of our fate and being.
As christians, we must abstain from evil things and live a holy and righteous life submitting ourselves to God. God is always in control of our being, but t if we are we are going to disobey God and go against his will, them our fate will now depend on our action. We should not disregard God's control, instead we should always obey his commandments for his control to have domain over us.
The book of Jeremiah 10:23 made us to understand that we humans does not have power of our own to live a holy and righteous life. We are powerless and can't do what is right always on our own that's why we need God's control and guidance in order to excel in life. So let's always submit ourselves to God asking him to direct our steps always because we can't direct our steps on our own.
