It will be unfair to us if you say,why do you celebrate Easter?
The bible, from the time of the isrealites teaches them to celebrate special feast in honor of the God almighty. And the celebration is always like that, it does not change.
Exodus 12 verse 1 say, And the lord spoke unto moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying.
Verse 2 say, this month shall be unto you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Verse 3 says, speak ye unto all the congregation of isreal saying, in the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house.
Verse 4 says, And if the household be too little for a lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
Verse 5 says, your lamb shall be without blemish, a male on the first year; ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats.
Verse 11 says, And thus shall ye eat it, with your loins girded your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand, and ye shall eat it in haste; it is the lords passover.
One of the official feasts in isreal is the passover. The passover later, they called it pascua" the passover the catholic celebrate pascua" or passover. What is pasua? It is a feast day among the isrealites they celebrate it at sunset on the 14th day of the first month of every year that is the month of Abib or Nisan. Thus the lord speak to moses and Aaron this month when they where in egypt before leaving eygpt God spoke to Moses and Aaron he said " this month shall be unto you the beginning of months" . So they are now people that living in a country being separated by God from Egypt because for 430 years, they were in Eygpt.
