Bro Eli said in his teachings that we shouldn't care for only our own welfare. God in heaven cares a lot about our own welfare and he expects us to also care and snow love to others. While each person is responsible for their own work and choices, believers are encouraged to help others when they are able. Showing love to other people financially is not something that is mandatory but it comes from our inner most heart.
Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”
At the same time, the Bible also supports personal responsibility and wise giving. Helping others should not encourage laziness, but it should meet genuine needs. Our giving must come from a willing and cheerful heart, not pressure.
