Depression and anxiety is a bad feeling that one faces because of the problems he or she is passing through at that moment. Instead, it shows that even faithful people experienced deep sorrow and fear. King David often cried out to God in his distress, and yet he continued to trust Him. This teaches us that it is okay to bring our pain honestly before God, knowing that He understands our hearts.
For us to overcome depression and anxiety is through talking to God through prayer. The Bible encourages us to give all our worries to God because He cares for us. The bible teaches us that we should not be anxious but present our requests to God, and His peace will guard our hearts and minds. Prayer helps us release our burdens and receive God’s comfort and peace.
Another way is by trusting in God’s promises. Anxiety often comes from fear of the future, but the Bible reminds us that God is in control. When we focus on His faithfulness and goodness, our hearts become more stable. Meditating on God’s Word daily can strengthen our minds and help replace negative thoughts with truth.
