Education does not usually pay attention to spiritual things, that's the reason some well educated people don't believe or show interest in the bible. Many people focus more on their academics, sciences and their personal success and they see the bible as a book which they can't learn anything from. The bible teaches that too much knowledge people acquire can easily make them forget about the teachings of God (1 Corinthians 1:20). But some people can be well educated and still care to listen to the words of God.
“Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” (1 Corinthians 1:20).
Background where some people were raised also affects them from studying the words of God. Some homes don't study the bible and when the kids grow up, they never care about the bible. Jesus also teaches us that some people listen to his words but still find it difficult to comprehend.
“For this people’s heart has grown dull, their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed.” (Matthew 13:15).
The bible talks more on trust and humility, which makes it difficult for some well educated people to follow. Even when the bible tells us to accept we do not know everything, the well educated people will always want to show they know all.
